Chicco Quattro 4 in 1

As part of the Mumsnet Bloggers Network we have been given a Chicco Quattro 4 in 1 to review.

First impressions

The Quattro 4 in 1 needs to be put together first and the instructions were not very clear, they were just photo instructions and so I found them a bit difficult to follow, although it didn’t take longer than 15 minutes (I’m the impatient kind). Once it was constructed I loved the bright colours and simplicity of putting Baby Girl into it. Baby Girl obviously agrees as look how happy she is…

Road testing

The Quattro 4 in 1 is a sit and ride car suitable from 9 months until 3 years. Baby Girl was 1 last week (doesn’t time fly!) and she seems just the right age to start to enjoy it. The sit and ride is a nice compact size that doesn’t dominate our small house so although it is a ride on it slots away easily at the end of the day.

There is a car steering wheel shaped toy in the middle which has a number of buttons with different tunes and car noises. At the moment Baby Girl doesn’t really know how to push herself about on it but she enjoys sitting on it and pushing the buttons. You can also add a handle to the top to make it a push and ride toy for younger children, so we can push her about. The steering isn’t very smooth on this so its not the best mode of transport but its fun for a bit.

Our two and a half year old nephew was visiting this weekend and he tested it for us too, enjoying zooming around the house and the music, proving that it is suitable for older children too. The Boy, who was 4 on Sunday, tested the limit as he tried to squeeze himself in and almost got stuck!

Conclusions

We had a sit and ride toy for the Boy and so far I prefer the Quattro 4 in 1 as its not as chunky and the steering wheel activity centre means Baby Girl can enjoy the sit without the ride!

Chicco are running a Happy Moments campaign at the moment which gives you four experience vouchers if you spend £29 on Chicco products before the 15th December. I fancy the pamper voucher!
